The richness of Tariquet Armagnacs is found throughout its range. For decades, the estate has been distilling and aging to the point of having an exceptional collection.
XO Armagnacs must have spent at least 10 years in oak barrels to be eligible for this denomination. For Tariquet, this blend of 60% Ugni-Blanc and 40% Baco benefits from eaux-de-vie having an average of 15 years of aging in barrels.

An amber color and a heady nose of dried fruits (almond) and quince paste, touched with dried flowers which reveals nuances of coconut when allowed to breathe. The attack is oily and honeyed. The palate presents a superb fusion of fruit and wood with controlled power over the length. Accents of prune, almond and rancio towards a more toasted finish marked with subtle notes of leather.
Serve at room temperature after a meal or in the late afternoon to relax. Cigar lovers savor it with happiness on a beautiful Havana.

Bas-Armagnac, whose capital is Eauze, is to the west of the appellation, in an area which runs from Nogaro to Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Roquefort, Gabarret (to the west), between Gers and Landes, to return to the western part of the Gers as far as Eauze. Bas-Armagnac represents 67% of the areas identified in Armagnac. In this part of the land, the soils are sandy loam, called “tawny sands”. Bas-Armagnac eaux-de-vie are delicate and very fruity.

The nobility of the spirits of the Domaine Tariquet Is based on the quality of distilled wines, and first on the meticulous care brought to the cultivation of the vines. To Domaine Tariquet, the distillation is carried out by grape variety in a traditional armagnacais copper alambic, heated with wood fire. The barriques of the estate are exclusively derived from oaks of French high futaies known for the fine grain of their wood."
